HRE is seeking a detail-oriented Architect to join our design and documentation team. The successful candidate will prepare permit-ready architectural drawing sets for residential and commercial projects, coordinate with project managers and engineers of record, and help strengthen our drafting standards, templates, and workflows. Job Specification

Education Level & Experience Required

·         Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline; an equivalent diploma supported by relevant experience will also be considered.

·         Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in an architecture firm. Recent graduates with demonstrable skills are encouraged to apply.

Professional Skill Required

·         Strong, demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

·         Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred; at a minimum, the candidate must be able to maintain coordination and interoperability between AutoCAD and Revit.

·         Familiarity with rendering software (for example, Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, or 3ds Max).

·         Sound understanding of residential and commercial drafting standards, with the ability to produce clean, print-ready drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

·         Experience managing drawing sets across multiple revisions, including version control.

·         Comfortable working with AutoCAD and Revit families and templates; experience in customizing or standardizing templates is preferred.

·         General understanding of MEP requirements for the preparation of permit sets.

Other Specification (Added Advantage)

·         Familiarity with US-based architectural codes (IBC, ADA, and local zoning and building codes) and green building standards; knowledge of LEED principles is an added advantage.

·         Exposure to timber-frame and/or steel construction methods.

·         Able to mentor or train junior drafters.

Job Description

·         Prepare permit sets in accordance with the requirements of the relevant jurisdictional review authority.

·         Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings based on client requirements, project meetings, and field measurements, and produce complete architectural drawing sets.

·         Coordinate regularly with project managers and the engineer of record, and update drawings in line with meeting notes and review feedback.

·         Manage multiple revisions efficiently and deliver assigned work within agreed project deadlines.

·         Maintain organized, up-to-date project files and drawing sets in accordance with office filing standards.

·         Carry out quality checks on drawings prior to issue to confirm accuracy, completeness, and code compliance.

·         Contribute to the standardization of templates and workflows to improve office efficiency (preferred, not mandatory).

·         Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior drafters as the role progresses.

·         Undertake any other duties reasonably assigned by the reporting manager in line with the scope of the role.

Software & Tools

·         Required: AutoCAD.

·         Preferred: Autodesk Revit; rendering software (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, or 3ds Max).

·         Supporting: PDF markup tools (Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat), Microsoft Office, and cloud-based file management platforms.
