Six Years of Growth, Partnership, and Purpose: Celebrating HRE’s 6th Anniversary

On August 7, 2025, Himalayan Ridge Engineering (HRE) proudly celebrated its 6th Anniversary—a milestone that represents not just the passage of time, but a journey of dedication, growth, partnership, and service to society. What began as a modest initiative in 2019 has today evolved into a thriving structural engineering consulting firm, built on a foundation of strong values, trusted relationships, and a deep passion for engineering excellence.

This celebration was more than an office milestone. It was a day to reflect on our professional journey, express gratitude to our partners and supporters, and reaffirm our commitment to both engineering and social responsibility.

The Evolution of HRE

HRE was established on August 7, 2019, with a vision to provide world-class structural engineering consulting services from Nepal, while building meaningful international collaborations. Our journey began with a small team, a shared dream, and the belief that engineering could be more than just technical work—it could be a way of making lives better.

From those humble beginnings, we have grown into a team of over two dozen talented professionals serving as an outsourcing partner to Tamarack Grove Engineering (TGE), USA. Our collaboration with TGE has been central to our growth, opening global doors of opportunity and exposing our team to projects of scale, complexity, and innovation. Today, HRE stands proud as a trusted partner—delivering quality, precision, and reliability while holding onto our guiding principles.

A Celebration of Togetherness

Our 6th Anniversary was celebrated in a spirit that blended professionalism, gratitude, and social responsibility. The day began with a formal office program at our Kathmandu headquarters, beautifully planned and led by our Head of Operations, Mr. Divesh. The celebration opened with the traditional lighting of a diyo by our respected guardians, Mr. Shankar and Mrs. Sabitra —reminding us of the importance of blessings and guidance in our journey.

We reflected on six years of HRE’s journey—how we began, how we partnered with Tamarack Grove Engineering, and how far we have come as a family. We also recognized our people, for it is our employees who embody our vision. This Quarter (2nd Quarter, 2025), the Employee of the Quarter Award was presented to Mr. Saugat Nepal, a recognition of dedication and values lived in action.

A highlight of the program was a special video message from Mr. Brian J. Sielaff, P.E., S.E., P.Eng, CEO of Tamarack Grove Engineering. His heartfelt words about trust, partnership, and the future of our collaboration deeply resonated with our team. We are sincerely grateful to Brian and the entire Tamarack Grove Engineering family for their partnership, mentorship, and support throughout our journey.

Extending Impact Beyond Engineering

At HRE, we believe that engineering excellence and social responsibility can walk hand in hand. This year, we dedicated our anniversary celebration not only to our team but also to a social cause close to our hearts.

After the formal office program, our team visited Kshitiz Secondary School, where we engaged in meaningful interaction with faculty and students. Together with the school, we contributed 50% scholarships for a year to support two children with Autism, ensuring they have access to better education and healthcare. Kshitiz School matched our contribution, exemplifying the power of collaboration for social good.

We also had the privilege of working with Ms. Mahima, an advocate for Autism awareness, who shared her insights on the growing challenges faced by children and families. Her words reinforced our belief that every child deserves opportunity, dignity, and care.

From there, we extended our celebration with Autism Care Nepal Society, a non-profit dedicated to supporting children with Autism. Our team spent time with 35 children, sharing moments of joy through music, dance, games, and a shared meal. The smiles on their faces and the warmth of their company became the most meaningful part of our anniversary celebration.

An Evening of Reflection

Our celebration concluded at Naikap Village Resort, where we gathered for informal conversations, reflections, and team bonding. It was a chance to relax, celebrate our achievements, and envision the road ahead together. The evening was a reminder that beyond the deadlines and drawings, HRE is a family built on trust, camaraderie, and shared dreams.
