Team HRE Unwinds: A Refreshing Break at Our Recreation Event
At HRE, we believe that a strong team isn’t just built during working hours—it’s strengthened during moments of shared laughter, friendly competition, and genuine connection. That’s exactly what our recent quarterly recreation getaway was all about.
On a cool January afternoon, our team traded in structural drawings and calculation sheets for a relaxed setting at a nearby resort. The two-day break was a welcome pause from our routine, giving everyone a chance to unwind and connect away from the office.
Day One: Settling In and Warming Up
After arriving and checking in, we gathered for light snacks. The evening really came alive with a sizzling barbeque under the open sky, accompanied by music and casual chatter. The highlight of the night was a spirited game of Bingo, which had everyone fully engaged—calling out numbers, sharing playful banter, and celebrating small wins together
As the formal events wound down, the conversations kept going. Groups lingered over refreshment drinks and snacks, diving into everything from project memories to personal stories. At one point, a lively discussion sparked about the upcoming elections and whether the political landscape needs change—a real, unhurried talk that reminded us how much we enjoy just listening to each other’s perspectives. Before we knew it, the clock had ticked well past midnight, with some of us chatting till 2 AM. It was in these unplanned, honest conversations that the real bonding happened.
Day Two: Games, Energy, and Team Spirit
Following a hearty breakfast, we dove into a morning packed with fun activities. The Musical Chairs round was filled with laughter and lighthearted tension as participants circled carefully, waiting for the music to stop. Next, the Tug of War brought out the competitive spirit in all of us—it was amazing to see teams strategizing, cheering each other on, and pulling together literally and figuratively.
We also enjoyed quick-paced games like In & Out, which tested reflexes and attention—a fun reminder of the focus we bring to our projects daily. A surprise game organized by Sagar Sir kept everyone guessing and added an extra layer of excitement to the morning.
Celebrating Each Other
To close the event, we came together for a small awards ceremony. Prizes were given to the game winners, but more importantly, we took time to honor our Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year. Recognizing these colleagues felt special—it’s moments like these that remind us of the talent and dedication within our team.
More Than Just Games
Beyond the fun and games, this getaway was about recharging and reconnecting. Whether it was strategizing during Tug of War, debating late into the night, or simply sharing a meal, these moments build a trust and camaraderie that naturally carry over into our collaborative work.
We returned to the office feeling refreshed, motivated, and even closer as a team. Events like these reinforce our culture—where working hard is balanced with moments of play and meaningful conversation, and where every team member is valued.
