World Cup 2026: The HRE Way

World Cup 2026: The HRE Way

The FIFA World Cup, held every four years, brings excitement to people across the globe whenever it kicks off. This time, the FIFA World Cup 2026 was jointly hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Since our work at HRE involves outsourcing for clients in Canada and the USA, we felt an even deeper connection to this edition of the tournament. How could we stay isolated from such a mega football spectacle? As the FIFA World Cup 2026 commenced, we at HRE joined in the fun and celebrated the world's biggest football event with a series of exciting activities. Before the matches began, participants discussed the upcoming games passionately and showcased their team spirit by wearing their favorite team jerseys, generating a true World Cup atmosphere at our workplace. Moreover, we not only collaborate in our day-to-day work culture, but every single individual also brought pure joy and shared enthusiasm to the entire celebration.

The first game we played was the Lucky Draw, where every participant drew a chit with the name of one of the 48 teams competing in the World Cup 2026. All participants who drew the name of the winning team were eligible to be rewarded. The game was thrilling, as everyone stayed excited and closely followed the tournament's progress to see if "their team" made it to the finals and won.

The second game we played was the Match Prediction game, where participants predicted the outcome of every match by choosing between a Team A win, a Team B win, or a draw. The competition was super exciting, with scores remaining neck and neck throughout the group stage. Anuj Thapa emerged as the ultimate winner of the group stage prediction game.

As the knockout stage commenced, the World Cup prediction challenge was raised to another level. Participants had to predict the exact scores of all the matches from the Round of 32 all the way to the Final. Three points were awarded if a participant correctly predicted the exact score, while predicting the correct winner earned one point. That meant a participant could earn up to four points in a single match, causing the leaderboard to fluctuate and making the game even more captivating. The scores were super tight until the end, resulting in a three-way tie at the finish line. However, Nirupan Bhattarai was declared the winner based on having predicted more exact scores correctly.

A Ball Shootout Challenge was organized a day before the World Cup Final, where participants could demonstrate their football skills. The event was packed with excitement and high energy as everyone participated and showed off their shootout abilities. The winner was Biswas Ghimire, who passed every shootout challenge and became the champion.

Finally, we organized a special World Cup final viewing event at a rooftop restaurant, where HRE Family gathered to watch the final match and cheer for their favorite teams together.

All in all, the World Cup 2026 was a fantastic opportunity for us at HRE to organize exciting activities for everyone. Participants celebrated the tournament with extreme enthusiasm and team spirit. It was a month-long festivity that brought everyone together, creating long-lasting memories and promoting a healthy work environment. The World Cup 2026 was an unforgettable event for all participants who took part in the activities we organized at HRE.
