A Day to Remember: Team Green’s Cricket Outing (Team Bonding : Q4, 2025)

At Himalayan Ridge Engineering, we believe teamwork doesn’t stop at the office. It continues wherever laughter, cheering, and shared memories are made! That’s exactly what Team Green experienced on November 25, 2025, when we went to watch the Nepal Premier League (NPL) match between the Lumbini Lions and the Kathmandu Gurkhas at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kritipur, Nepal.

   

A big shout-out to Subash Singh for planning everything perfectly and making sure everyone had their tickets on time. We all gathered in the Red Bull Zone, one of the most energetic sections of the stadium. The vivid crowd, upbeat music, lively fans, and stunning mountain views created a thrilling backdrop to the day.

        
Even though most of us didn’t know much about cricket, we quickly caught the excitement as the crowd’s energy pulled us right in. We waved our “Four” and “Six” cards every time Gurkhas hit big shots and cheered like lifelong fans! Some teammates took turns explaining cricket rules to others, those moments of learning together made the event more fun, meaningful experience and a bonding moment.

Even though the Gurkhas didn’t take home a win, for us, the day was a big success as we left with big smiles and stronger connections. Wearing our HRE T-shirts, we felt proud, united to represent our company and to share such an energetic experience as a team.

 
After the match, we went for a relaxing dinner at The Gardens in Jhamsikhel, where delicious dishes and great conversations made the evening even more special. We shared stories from childhood adventures to travel tales and professional lessons, career journeys and funny life moments, finding inspiration and humor in each one. Encouraging one another to try different foods and sharing plates perfectly reflected our spirit of teamwork and care.

We wrapped up the night ensuring everyone returned home safely, celebrating not just a fun day out but also the kindness and unity that define the HRE family.

A heartfelt appreciation goes to Mr. Sohil Paudel, P.E. from TGE, whose presence made the event even more memorable. His positive energy, enthusiasm, openness and stories about engineering excellence in the USA, and insights into structural design inspired and motivated us all.

From start to finish, it was a day filled with laughter, shared learning, and genuine connection which is a perfect reminder that while projects build structures, shared experiences build teams. The outing reaffirmed that team bonding extend far beyond work in the office that is creating shared experiences, building trust and nurturing those connections that make us stronger together.
