Closer Than Office Chairs: A Night of Strikes, Sunsets, and Food (Q2-2026 Team Bonding: 02/06/2026)

The time came around again, for Team Divesh to look away from their calculations and check out what Kathmandu had for them that fine evening. The newest member of the team, Pratik, planned an eventful evening, with the right amount of game and food, a perfect blend to bring the team closer than their seating arrangements in the office.
The evening kicked off at the bowling alley on top of Civil Mall, where the team quickly got competitive. Some of us launched straight into strike territory, while others mastered the art of the perfect gutter balls. Between the cheers, the friendly trash-talk, and the high-fives after a rare spare, the energy was through the roof. It was the perfect set-up for the rest of the evening, which involved a lot of food and conversations.

Once the scores were settled, the team headed towards the roof of Food Hub by H2O, watching the sun set from the edge of Basantapur Durbar Square. With the city growing darker, the conversation shifted from casual banter to deeper, more meaningful stories. We talked about everything and nothing all at once, laughing over shared plates and enjoying the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. To top off an already fantastic meal, we treated ourselves to a round of desserts that perfectly summed up the evening, much sweeter than what we had expected.

As the night grew later, the team was led by a member through the alleyways of Basantapur, into a quiet courtyard, where we grabbed some cold soda drinks, and kept the conversations going, talking about life, philosophy, and future dreams well into the late hours.

The evening wrapped up with more than just bowling scores and full stomachs. As we bid farewell to a member who is moving on to new adventures, the night brought us a little closer and gave us memories and a reminder that the people we meet often leave a lasting mark.
