Team Divesh: From the Stage to the Sweet Shop (Team Bonding : Q1, 2026)
A Story of Connection in the Heart of Kathmandu
At Himalayan Ridge Engineering, we believe that the integrity of our work starts with the strength of our connections. Every quarter, Team Divesh makes a quiet agreement: put the system down, step into the city together, and remember that the people beside us are more than just coworkers.
Our Q1 2026 outing wasn't just a break from the routine; it was a celebration of our growing community. This time, eight of us stepped out into the evening—including a brand-new face joining the fold for the very first time.
01 | The First Act: Truth and Laughter
The evening began at Mandala Theatre with a performance of Charandas Chor. There is a unique magic that happens in a theatre that doesn't happen behind a desk. As we watched the folk tale of an honest thief unfold, the row of us found ourselves laughing at the exact same moments.
It was here that our newest member truly joined the team. A formal introduction is one thing, but sharing a genuine, unscripted moment of joy in the dark of a theatre is where a real welcome happens.
02 | The Second Act: Spice and the City
A story this good deserved a meal to match. We made our way to Biryani Bistro in New Road, where steaming copper Hāḍīs took center stage. Over plates piled high and bowls of raita, the conversation flowed freely as we dissected the play with the enthusiasm of seasoned critics.
After dinner, we let the city guide us. We wandered through the lanes of New Road, Kathmandu’s oldest commercial artery. There was no map and no schedule—just the kind of slow, intentional walking you only do when you are genuinely enjoying the company you’re in.
03 | The Final Act: A Sweet Conclusion
Every great story needs a proper ending. We found ours at Baskin-Robbins in Basantapur, standing in the shadow of the ancient Newari architecture. With ice cream cones in hand and the evening air cooling the square, the day felt complete.
By the time the last bite of ice cream was gone, the "new colleague" wasn't new anymore—they were simply part of the family.
Beyond the Clock
We know that Q2 will bring its own set of challenges and busy days. But when the pace picks up, Team Divesh will look back at this evening in the heart of Kathmandu—the stage, the spice, and the walk through Basantapur—and remember exactly why we show up for each other.
One team. One quarter wiser. Ready for what’s next.
